Henry Paulson, left, and Ben Bernanke in Inside Job, a documentary about the 2008 economic meltdown.

Director Charles Ferguson's expos of 2008's global economic meltdown comes to DVD fresh off winning a 2011 Academy Award for documentary. The crisis, from which we still have not fully recovered, cost more than $20 trillion and caused millions to lose their homes and jobs. Ferguson uses extensive research and interviews with financial insiders, politicians and journalists to examine the conditions that led to the meltdown, how corruption and greed fueled it, why regulators and politicians turned a blind eye to the warning signs, and why the government's response was so ineffectual. Special features include deleted scenes with Eliot Spitzer and others.

USA TODAY's Claudia Puig says: * * * out of four. "Consistently insightful and occasionally terrifying, it's more riveting than Wall Street 2."
