Are female entrepreneurs in the The NextWomen network interested in Cartier Women?s Initiative Awards? They should be.. and they can apply now. The deadline this year to apply is March 15, 2011, 10 am CET.
The Cartier Women?s Initiative Award is an entrepreneurship competition for start-ups led by women organized by Cartier in partnership with McKinsey and INSEAD business school.
They are currently in the call for applications phase for their contest and are looking for women leading for-profit responsible enterprises between 1-3 years old.
The Award will be given this year to six laureates who will receive a year of coaching, US$20,000 in funding, valuable networking opportunities as well as media exposure.
The mission of the Cartier Women?s Initiative Awards is threefold:
- To identify and support initial-phase women entrepreneurs through funding and coaching
- To foster the spirit of enterprise by celebrating role models in entrepreneurship
- To create an international network of women entrepreneurs and encourage peer networking
Entrepreneurs play a central role in all economies. More than ever, it aims to support the next generation of men and women who have the audacity to create, to innovate and to imagine the future.
The Cartier Women?s Initiative Awards aim to encourage the most vulnerable category of entrepreneurs in their most vulnerable phase: women entrepreneurs starting up. Since its inception in 2006, it has accompanied over 40 promising female business-owners and recognized 15 Laureates.
