LOS ANGELES - A 67-year-old man who was struck and killed in a traffic lane of the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles was identified today.
Juan Valdez Muro of Pasadena reportedly ran into the lanes at 4:24 a.m. on Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
All northbound lanes of the Hollywood Freeway were shut down at Alameda Street for an unknown duration for the investigation, the CHP said. Los Angeles police were called to assist in directing traffic on city streets around the closure.
