The celebrity chef posted a picture on his Twitter account of himself awkwardly lying flat on the back of a boat in California during a Father's day fishing excursion.
Planking consists of lying face down, completely still, with your arms at your sides, in an unusual location. It's also referred to as the "lying down game," and posting a picture on the Internet of the person planking is an essential part of the game.
The 44-year-old chef posted another picture of himself planking the next day, but instead of lying on a boat, he chose the top of a jet engine as his unusual location. This spot proved to be a bit more challenging for Ramsay, who seemed to have trouble balancing on the curved surface on the engine.

The Daily News previously reported on celebrities, including Kristen Bell, Ellen Page and Flavor Flav, among those trying out the crazy fad.
Damon Lindelof, one of the creators of TV show "Lost", one said, "If planking isn't the greatest single thing the human mind has ever conceived, I don't know what is."
