FBI: There Has Been A 5.5 Percent Drop In Violent Crime!

Point Break Crime

Any violence is too much violence, but seeing a drop like this is such good news.

Crime rates from last year dropped from what they were in 2009! There was a 5.5% drop last year and a 2.8% drop in property crimes!

This by no means is an indication that we should relax on the subject, but really, this a relief.

So what's doing it?

These things are contributing:

"In a word, remarkable," said James Alan Fox, a criminologist at Northeastern University. The declines signify success for aggressive law enforcement and corrections programs and comprehensive crime prevention efforts. He said the crime levels could easily rise if the current environment of state and local budget cutting extends to the law enforcement measures that are working.

The last time crimes like these increased was in 2005!

Let's keep it up, U.S.! There's never a need for violence, so let's get to the point where we're setting the example for the rest of the world!
