Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez sat side-by-side in the audience at the Billboard Music Awards.Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez went through another celebrity rite of passage Sunday night: the awards show kiss.
The couple, who have become increasingly comfortable putting their relationship on display after months of keeping it secret, didn't hold back when Bieber was named Top New Artist at the Billboard Music Awards.
The teen sensation, 17, and Gomez, rose from their seats as soon as his name was called and went right in for a mouth-to-mouth kiss.
And it was only after they hugged that Bieber turned his attention to his mom, Pattie Mallette, who was seated next to Gomez.
The two were also PDA-heavy earlier in the evening when Bieber won Most Downloaded Digital Song for his hit "Baby."
Bieber and Gomez kissed on live TV after he won the top new artist award.
Gomez told Seventeen's May issue that she didn't like "hiding" their relationship anymore.
"At the end of the day, I'm 18, and I'm going to fall in love," she explained. "I'm going to hang out with people, and I'm going to explore myself, and I'm okay with that."
