The first speakers for NEXT11 are confirmed: Tim Ferriss, Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, Sarah Lacy, Werner Vogels, Peter Vesterbacka, and more are coming to Berlin

Two months ahead of the sixth NEXT Conference on May 17 & 18, 2011 the first speakers are confirmed. The hosts, SinnerSchrader and STATION-Berlin, were able to win over, amongst others, TechCrunch author Sarah Lacy, Werner Vogels, CTO of Amazon, as well as Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, CEO at Sony Music Entertainment.

This year?s edition of the NEXT Conference is taking place with the overall motto ?Data Love?. More than 80 speakers already confirmed their participation, among them high-profile minds such as Andrew Keen and Tim Ferriss (?The 4-Hour-Workweek?).

Thereby the NEXT conference underlines its claim as one of the most important conferences within the digital industry in Germany.

The American entrepreneur and author Tim Ferriss published international bestsellers with the book titles ?The 4-Hour Workweek? and ?The 4-Hour Body?. Furthermore, Peter Vesterbacka of Rovio Mobile, the creators of the popular mobile app ?Angry Birds?, will be presenting at NEXT11.

Werner Vogels, Chief Technology Officer of Amazon, generated buzz with his latest work in the cloud computing field. In 2010 he was chosen as ?Cloud?s Most Influential Executive? by the readers of ReadWriteWeb. David Rowan, editor in chief of the British edition of the Wired magazine, belongs to the most prominent minds of the online industry, too. Previously to his engagement at the prizewinning future technology magazine he wrote for the Sunday Times Magazine and The Guardian.

The social dimensions of ?Data Love? will be illustrated by Matt Gierhart. He has been passionate on finding digital communication solutions for several years. Since 2010 he manages the social activities at OgilvyAction, London. More social insights will be provided by Bastian Unterberg, co-founder and CEO of the Berlin-based start-up jovoto as well as by David No�l of the music platform SoundCloud.

The NEXT11 programme consists of one international keynote track plus six theme tracks, of which three run parallel on both conference days: Commerce, Media and Mobile on May 17, Social, Branding and Technology on May 18.

In total there will be more than 100 speakers present at the conference, which developed to be one of the leading networking platforms of the digital scene.

Among them will definitely be TechCrunch editor and blogger Sarah Lacy, who travelled to visit the most fascinating start-ups worldwide. With Rolf Schmidt-Holtz participants can expect a thought leader of the media industry on stage: The journalist and manager of Sony Music Entertainment has been successfully engaged in the online as well as print and TV business for the past couple of decades. Before, he was publisher and chief editor at ?Stern? and chief creative officer at Bertelsmann.
