Man shot in leg in North Hollywood motel parking structure

NORTH HOLLYWOOD - An 18-year-old man was shot in a leg in a parking structure outside a North Hollywood motel Sunday.

The shooting in the 10300 block of Ventura Boulevard occurred about 3:15 a.m., Los Angeles police Sgt. Ernie Fischer of the North Hollywood Station said.

The victim, whose name police withheld, told officers he heard a shot and started running, then realized he'd been shot in a leg, Fischer said.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital. Fischer said he should be OK.
